Washington Governor broadcasts 2 hour long speech declaring Washington & Oregon independence

After a 2 hour long speech from the Governor of Washington, Xavier Briggs, both Washington and Oregon have declared their independence from the United States. Shortly after their decision, the two states reunited to form the "People's Republic of Cascadia" and allied themselves to the California Workers Republic. It is likely that the SUSR will defend the newly found nation if the US attempts to invade them, but no word from the Council has been announced on their position.
