After a visit between the Castro brothers (Juan & Alex) and the President of Ireland, Thomas Bailey, went well, Ireland agreed to re-open up to the Supranational Union for the first since the fall of Vladimir Salas in February 2050. The reason for the original split were the differences between Dzhenifer Morgen and Thomas Bailey as Bailey viewed Morgen as a "weak leader who partakes in imperialist ventures to suit her own gain," plus it has been noted that Morgen's support of Britain over Ireland and furthering closer connections the US made him feel uneasy often times he would call the closer relations the "alliance of evil powers". Due to this, many political figures have expressed their discontent with fostering new relations with someone who has historically denounced the Union and has been accused of human rights violations because of poor economic planning. However, Chairwoman Song has defended the meetings as a step towards international unity and for the safeguarding of peace and future progress.
